Yogamatrix Studio offers both traditional and unique Yoga classes to meet the different needs of our community. Please, read our class descriptions and take as many classes as you like. Remember, in Yoga “an ounce of practice is worth several tons of theory.” The benefits of Yoga are cumulative: the more you practice, the greater the results. All our Yoga classes involve stretching and strengthening exercises, breathing techniques and a relaxation at the end. Enjoy your practice!*

Hip & Back Flexibility
This class includes Yoga poses that go deep and safely into the hips, which are more likely to respond to regular/gentle practice than to irregular/forceful practice. For those who want to improve back, hips and knee conditions, to get rid of habitual stress patterns and, to be healthier and more flexible. It uses a non-invasive approach for the spinal column while it develops an overall sense of calm and well-being. No previous yoga experience is necessary.

Hatha Yoga Basics
This class focuses on the principles of yoga poses (asanas), proper breathing, restorative poses and awareness. Ideal for beginners and those who want a gentle class. It provides a solid yoga foundation and serves as review for more experienced practitioners.

Hatha Yoga 1
If you feel good in Hatha Yoga Basics, this class is for you! It builds upon Yoga Basics by holding poses a little longer at a comfortable level, while deepening awareness, as well as improving on breathing techniques and more. For newcomers and seasoned yoga practitioners.

Hatha Yoga 1-2
A complete blend of of flowing yoga poses, breathing techniques, concentration, relaxation, imagery and meditation. It increases the metabolic functions of the body, regulates weight, improves health conditions and you gain strength, flexibility and inner-serenity. Recommended for those who practice yoga regularly.

Breathing and Meditation
Do you want an end to the anxiety, stress and fears? Do you want to improve your health and heart condition while developing inner calm and a peaceful state of joy? If so, this class is for you. Breathing techniques eliminate bodily toxins, unclutter the mind and pave the way for meditation, which clears the mind and develops inner balance. You cannot miss this class!

YIN YOGA- Yin Yoga is a variety of poses targeting the deeper and hidden tissues of the body such as the connective tissue – ligaments, tendons and fascia. Recent research in Japan and US links the connective tissue to the flow of energy in the body (Chi or Prana).  Benefits include a deeper range of motion, an increased flow of energy, healthier joints, improved health, greater strength, reduced stress levels.  Beneficial to all.  No Yoga experience needed.

Laughter Yoga- Have a blast with this class! It is a gentle and powerful new concept that blends laughter exercises and breathing techniques. It fosters feelings of kindness, joy, forgiveness and love. (Laughter Yoga does not include Yoga poses)

Yoga Nidra- "Yoga-Nidra" is an ancient method used to relax you consciously, while reaching a deeper state of sound sleep with total consciousness. It helps to dissolve the negative effects of stressful environments and regain health, youth and peace of mind. Yoga-Nidra brings a deeper sense of well-being; it relaxes, revitalizes and also helps to reform undesired mental habits.

T'ai Chi- T’ai Chi is an exercise system that uses slow, smooth movements to open channels of energy in the body and achieve a state of relaxation of both body and mind. It increases awareness, improves concentration and cultivates better posture and improved balance.
